Special trips can be arranged to dive at Pulau Segantang – weather permitting – with a minimum of 5 divers.

Pulau Segantang consists of two large rocky outcrops offering deeper and adventurous diving for experienced divers.

Divers have a choice of 2 or 3 dives in a day.  If you have sufficient air, you can choose to circumnavigate each rocky outcrop in each dive.  There is also a small dropoff to 26 meters.

Marine life expected are barracudas, trevallies, large groupers and a vast area of sea anemonies

GENERAL INFORMATION OF PULAU PAYAR DIVE SITES
Dive Area  : Pulau Payar Marine Park – consisting of 4 islands, namely Pulau Payar (main island), Pulau Kaca, Pulau Lembu and Pulau Segantang
Total dive sites : 15 diving sites in vicinity of Pulau Payar, Pulau Kaca, Pulau Lembu and 4 dive sites in Pulau Segantang
Diving Months : MAR to NOV … calm water, sunny days, better visibility
AUG to SEP..… long swells, choppy sea but still good
DEC to FEB …  water temperature and water visibility drops
Water Temperature : Year round average between 28°C to 30°C
MAR to NOV at 30°C and above.
DEC to FEB can drop to 28°C
Surface Temperature : Year round average between 29°C to 34°C in the day time
And 21°C to 25°C in the night
Average Depth : 15m to 18m
Currents : very negligible
Wrecks / Caves : Nil
Marine Life : Barracudas, large groupers, lion fishes, stone fish, moray eels,
Nudibranchs,  Reef Sharks, Seahorses, Ghostpipe Fishes,
Snappers, Wrasses, Blue-ringed Angelfishes, anemonies, etc.
